About
What shaped me
I've been shaped by experiences that made me question easy explanations and look more carefully at the difference between what happened, what I believed about it, and what it came to mean over time. Relationships, spiritual experiences, and the process of returning honestly to my own memories have all influenced how I see the world and why I write.
Some parts of that story are deeply personal, and some belong partly to other people. I try to share my experiences honestly while respecting what is not mine to reveal.
What I'm exploring
The Book
I'm writing a novel inspired by lived experience. The story begins in memory and relationships and gradually moves toward a spiritual awakening. Writing it as fiction gives me the freedom to transform the material, follow the story wherever it needs to go, and make room for experiences that may eventually belong in a second book.
I'm less interested in reproducing every detail exactly than in being honest about the emotional and spiritual truth at the heart of the story.
Faith and Spiritual Inquiry
I'm a follower of Christ, and I believe in God. I'm also drawn to the wisdom, symbolism, and contemplative practices found in Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and other mystical traditions.
I'm interested in both the places where these traditions resonate and the places where they remain distinctly their own. I'm not trying to combine them into a single belief system. I want room to listen, ask questions, and explore what each may illuminate without pretending they are all saying exactly the same thing.
Psychology, Relationships, and Meaning-Making
I'm especially interested in Carl Jung's ideas about archetypes, the shadow, projection, and individuation, along with the ways people form bonds, repeat patterns, misunderstand one another, and make sense of relationships after they change or end.
Psychology gives me one language for these questions, but not the only one. I'm interested in where psychological and spiritual interpretations may speak to each other—and where they should remain separate.
Why this site exists
This site gives my writing and research a home of their own. It is a place to share finished pieces, selections from the novel as it develops, and notes from questions I am still exploring.
I also hope it helps me find thoughtful readers—people who are curious, open-minded, and willing to sit with complexity rather than rushing toward a simple answer. Some pages may arrive at conclusions. Others may simply document where my thinking is today.
